At Easy-Tek-Dek, we offer a do-it-yourself option of covering a boat or ship. We can supply parts of the deck or the complete deck. We will give you non-binding advice about the possibilities based on our knowledge and experience. We would also like to hear your opinions on how we can implement this.
How does it work?
Are you thinking of choosing the self-service package? If so, we are happy to help you by delivering the right materials for the upholstery of your boat or ship. Before you get started, it is important to first provide photos and/or drawings with sizes so we can give you an indication of price. If you agree with our quote, we will send you some special plastic sheeting to make a mold of the elements you want to create using synthetic teak. We will, of course, provide you with instructions on how to best draw up these elements.
Would you prefer us to draw the molds? If so, we would be happy to visit you. On average, it takes us two to three hours to create molds. We take into account lines, edge finishing, fishing pieces and any other details.
After the final molds are created, we will issue a final price. After agreement, we will proceed to produce the synthetic teak panels. All panels are custom made as they are created using the molds. The panels are manufactured in single succession. This way, we ensure that all elements are made in the same style, with lines and seams flowing together and 100% waterproof panels.
Once the teak panels are ready, they are rolled up if necessary and prepared for mounting. An appointment is made to collect the panels. You are then free to determine when you want to fit the panels onto your boat or ship, taking into account the weather it must be dry and between 17 and 25 degrees. We provide you with detailed instructions and the necessary tips and tricks for easy assembly. We supply our own adhesives and sealants with our synthetic panels as standard, so you can be assured that you are working with high-quality products that provide the most optimal result for bonding your floors. When you have finished gluing the panels, you can enjoy the results for many years to come!
